The UPSC ESE Prelims 2025 will be held on 8 June 2025 and the Mains Examination will take place on 10 Aug 2025. Educational Requirements for UPSC ESE Exam 2025
The candidates must have an engineering degree in any discipline from any recognized university of India or abroad. It is advisable to go through the official notification.

Upon selection, the candidates can be posted at various Ministries and Departments of the GoI such as Railways, Telecom, Border Roads Organisation, CPWD, CWC, CPES, NHAI, Naval Armaments, IDSE, MES, Indian Ordnance Factories, etc. IRMS refers to recruitment of engineers in Indian Railways. The salary will depend upon the department and the post. The in hand salary will range between Rs. 67000 to Rs. 200000.

For the candidates belonging to the UR / OBC / EWS categories, the application fee is Rs 200. For the SC / ST / PwD / Ex-Servicemen / Female candidates, the application fee is exempted.
